Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Shawkat Travel, we understand that travel plans can change. This policy outlines the terms for cancellations and refunds on bookings made through us.
1. Cancellation by the Customer
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Reservation@shawkattravel.com. The following cancellation charges apply:
- More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total booking value (administration fee)
- 15–30 days before departure: 25% of total booking value
- 7–14 days before departure: 50% of total booking value
- Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total booking value (no refund)
Please note that airline tickets, visa fees, and certain hotel bookings may be non-refundable as per the respective supplier's policy.
2. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 14–21 business days from the date of cancellation confirmation. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method. Shawkat Travel is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment processors.
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Visa application fees
- Travel insurance premiums
- Non-refundable airline tickets
- Promotional or discounted packages marked as non-refundable
4. Cancellation by Shawkat Travel
In rare circumstances, Shawkat Travel may need to cancel a booking due to unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, airline cancellations, force majeure). In such cases, we will offer a full refund or an alternative travel arrangement of equal value.
5. Amendments & Changes
Changes to bookings (dates, destinations, passenger names) are subject to availability and may incur amendment fees from airlines or hotels, in addition to a service fee charged by Shawkat Travel.
